BOOTHANKAD ESTATE   was established   in 1924 in chickmaglur dist,  Karnataka state.  In   boothankad group’s of  estates  the  main  crop being  coffee   we  oversee  the production  of  various   other  agricultural  crops like  cardamom, pepper ,arecanut , banana, pineapple ,litchi chickoo, oranges ,cocoa, coconut ,paddy.

Boothankad group of estates, has always tried to keep agriculture in vanguard by pioneering novel projects. Practice of organic farming and manufacture of organic manure by this group has gained popularity at state and national level.

Bio manure  produced by   this  group  under the name  HASIRU is   one   of  India’s  most  trusted   organic manure   and  has  been   in  great  demand since  its launch  in the  market .HASIRU  unit has  been visited and   appreciated  by a  number of   eminent   professors , agriculturists ,students   and   visitors  from India  and  abroad.

Today,   many   companies  without  agricultural  background  produce  organic manure using city and sugar factory wastages. Such companies do not allow visitors inside their production unit.
Unlike  such  companies   ,HASIRU  is  a  product by an   agriculturist  appreciated   by  fellow  agriculturists .To maintain  the quality , HASIRU  is  not  sold at  any fertilizer  shop  nor  does it  have  any  agents  , but is  directly  delivered to the  customers  from  boothankad  estate. This  company  is a  non  profit  motive one. Initially   it  was  started  with  the  intention  of  providing help  and  guidelines   to  farmers  regarding   the  production  of  organic manure  and the  manure   thus  produced  was  solely in their  estates. By the  request  of  fellow  farmers ,  production  has  been increased  and  marketted.

Each  of  the  different  organic   amendments  that are available under  the  brand  name  HASIRU is prepared  following  its  own unique  method  . Many  of  these  include  manure  from  animal  sources  that  is  enriched  with  pulses  , specially  prepared  Jeevamrutha ,  Panchagavya, trichoderma, cow urine , neem  powder, azolla, bio pesticides, and  leaves of trees like  atti, basari,  goni,  kari basari, bili basari, ily basari, jack , dadap, silver oak , garage which are found in plenty in BGE.
